Our Final Respects
It is with great sadness, the Crossroads family joins the family of Mr. George Moore in paying our final respects to a wonderful man of God who was a “cornerstone” in this church. George was the epitome of a faithful servant. If the church door was open, he was not only here, he was helping in whatever was going on, whether it was something for the children, the youth, or adults.
It was always a joy to see his smiling face every night at Vacation Bible School. He helped way past the time he was physically able to do so.
He was willing to open his heart and mind to new methods of ministry. He was always willing to reach outside the walls of the church building to reach others for Christ. Our loss is indeed heaven’s gain. George has been missed since his move to Florida, and he will be missed now that he is with his Savior.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family in this time of loss. George is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Luann and James Edwards, grandchildren and other precious members of the Crossroads family, a sister, Mrs. Ruth Wood, a brother, Mr. Geddes Moore, and a niece, Mrs. Annie Knight.
Visitation will be held here at Crossroads from 10-11:am on Saturday, December 12th followed by a memorial service at 11 am.
