Counselors Needed!

For several years now some of the local churches in our area have joined together to plan a youth crusade in the Spring. It is time again for this event. This year it will be a one night only service at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium this Sunday at 6 p.m. Kirk Cameron will be the speaker, and our band will be leading worship. We expect to fill the auditorium to capacity. We also expect to see a large number of decisions for Jesus Christ which means there will be a need for lots of counselors. If you are interested in serving as a counselor, there will be a one-hour training session tomorrow night (Thursday) at 7:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Boiling Springs. I plan to attend this session. I would like for some of our people to be involved in this. If you are interested, then just show up at FBC, Boiling Springs tomorrow evening at 7:00. If you do not want to be a counselor, please pray for this event. Even if you do not plan to attend it is important for us to provide prayer cover. Remember we are at war with the forces of darkness so you can be assured that the enemy will offer resistance. Pray for safe travel for Kirk, for Jesse and our band to be prepared to lead worship, for the hearts and minds of those who attend to be able to hear and receive the gospel, for the counselors to have wisdom, and for the churches to follow up effectively afterwards. The eternal destiny of hundreds of people could be at stake this Sunday night so please pray!
