Have you ever wanted to be involved but was unsure about where to start? We are looking for individuals who would be willing to serve as greeters. This is a very important ministry of our church. When we have visitors at our church we have an opportunity to create a loving, caring, and safe place to worship, and it all begins at the doors. First impressions are very important! If you ever wanted to get involved, maybe this would be a great place to begin. If you are already serving as a greeter, thank you for your heart and service!!! The more people we have to sign up, the less frequently you will need to serve. Please give this prayerful consideration. There is a sign-up sheet in the lobby. Do you have a hidden talent? Karen Swofford is looking for you! Karen is already beginning to plan for our annual Fall Festival. She is looking for anyone who might have a talent they can share ( juggler, balloon animals, face painting, caricatures?). Let’s get creative! Contact Karen if you can help.

Ministry Opportunity

Mike Reiser is recruiting more folks to join the ranks of Greeters here at Crossroads. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to plug in and begin to meet all of our members, regular attenders, and brand new visitors. This is a rotation schedule, so the more folks who join in, the fewer times you will be asked to serve. You will find a sign-up sheet in the lobby.

VBS got off to a stampeding start on Sunday with a total of 178!!!! I think that is a wonderful boot scootin’ start to our Saddle Ridge Ranch VBS!!! Our high night was Wednesday with a total of 212!!! Our average was 193. Our mission total raised during VBS was $662.00. That is an awesome amount from our kids!!!! We had several decisions made during VBS, most coming from our 1st and 2nd grade classes. I am so proud of these kids, their teachers and their parents. What a time of rejoicing!!! I know that the results of VBS will continue to be seen for months. This is all due to YOUR hard work and diligence to see that the kids came first and were made to feel loved and comfortable and YOU showed them that God was at Crossroads Baptist and that he walked in human skin.

I want to Thank ALL of those who helped during VBS, from decorating, painting, creating, cooking, serving, baking, preparing lessons, guiding kids, recreation, safety and
transportation, crafts, nursery, registration, take down of decorations, photos, music, and every thing else I have missed!!!!!! There was a community of people who worked to make our VBS successful. Without each and every one of you, Crossroads Baptist would not be the Church that it is, and our VBS would not be the mission outreach that it is.

We will begin a new study this Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm. This study will be based on the life of David, the shepherd boy who became Israel’s second and best king. The life of David gives us some powerful insights about how God can work in our lives during good times and bad times. Our Wednesday night Bible studies are very casual and relaxed. There is also a good bit of interaction and often lively discussion. Please plan to join David for this study beginning this Wednesday at 6:30 pm. Nursery is available. Children and youth meet at this time as well.

The Spring Discipleship Semester will begin next Sunday, February 28th. Sign-up sheets are in the multi-purpose room. Be sure to check them out. There is something for everyone. Learn more about our Spring Discipleship semester here.

When Worldviews Collide

The College and Career class will have a get together on Friday, December 18th at 7pm until at the Reiser’s home. This is a casual get together, so bring your friends for a relaxing time.  We will have snacks and drinks.
